When it comes to tuning into the Food Network for their primetime cooking competitions, there are always some familiar faces that we see consistently. Eddie Jackson is quickly becoming one of those faces.

While you might think of chefs like Bobby Flay, Duff Goldman, and Guy Fieri as some of the more dominant figures of the Food Network, there is one chef who is quickly rising through the ranks (at least in our minds). So what makes us think of Eddie Jackson as our new leading man of the Food Network (and in turn Discovery Plus)?

The fact that Jackson is hosting or judging multiple shows on our screen every week is definitely a major point in his favor. In fact, we eagerly wait for new episodes of Halloween Wars and Christmas Cookie Challenge. But those are just two of the shows where we get to see him in action. The other shows that have got us coming back for more are OutChef’d and now The Big Bake. (And let’s not forget that he helped with some judging on Big Bad Budget Battle this Summer leading into the Fall!)

Basically, the shows we are eagerly watching this Fall all have one thing in common – Chef Eddie Jackson.

How Chef Eddie Jackson is making a case for being the new leading man of the Food Network

Ever since his first appearance on MasterChef all the way back in Season 4, we knew there was something about Jackson that screamed charisma and TV host. And then he won his season of Next Food Network Star and our feeling was confirmed.

From those early days, Eddie Jackson has continually brought his wit and charm to the table (and our screens). Whether we look at his time on BBQ Brawl as a team captain or even his hosting duties on the Kids BBQ Championship, he always brings his special brand of sincerity and honesty to his role as a mentor and more.

And right now it just feels like we are in the season of Eddie Jackson. Maybe it’s because he is hosting multiple shows that we consider to be favorites this Fall or simply because he does it with a style that keeps us coming back for more, we are never mad at seeing more of Chef Eddie on our screens.

If the Food Network wants to offer more hosting and judging gigs to Jackson, we would not be mad at that at all.

But we want to hear your thoughts on the matter. Do you agree with us about how Eddie Jackson is quickly becoming one of the new leading men of the Food Network? Who are your favorite chefs on the network?
