Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown coming Nov. 8

Since it arrived on Food Network back in 2013, Beat Bobby Flay has become one of the staples of the cable channel. Fans love to see superstar Chef Bobby Flay compete against an array of up and coming chefs hand selected by a pair of judges looking to take Flay down.

This year though, Flay is kicking things up a notch as he takes the Beat Bobby Flay format and combines it with a heaping does of holiday spirit. The result is Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown, a new series arriving on Food Network this November.

Holiday Throwdown will see Flay compete against a who’s who of chefs that are all very well known to Food Network viewers. Additionally, the new holiday competition will include a team element and each episode will be expanded to a full hour of cooking shenanigans.

For the six episode event series, Beat Bobby Flay will be expanded to three rounds and see Flay team up with one of the chefs that was just trying to defeat him. First, two of Flay’s chef friends will compete to see who will face off against a third chef waiting in the wings. The winner of that second round will then go on to battle Flay with each one picking one of the eliminated chefs as their sous chef.

Episode 1 sees Tournament of Champions III winner Tiffani Faison go up against Jet Tila in a Thanksgiving battle the likes of which no foodie has seen. The winner with then face Anne Burrell for the chance to take down Bobby Flay.

As we mentioned, the guest list for Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown is an all-star roster of Food Network favs, including Giada De Laurentiis, Alex Guarnaschelli, Carla Hall, Eddie Jackson, Michael Symon, Brooke Williamson and Geoffrey Zakarian.

The six episode series debuts on November 8 at 9 PM on Food Network as well as Discovery Plus. Fans can follow along on social media at #BeatBobbyFlay and #HolidayThrowdown.
