Last year, AAA predicted that over 53 million people would be traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s expected that this Thanksgiving will also be a heavy travel day. Whether by plane, train, or automobile, one thing that travelers need is coffee! Here’s a big question that many of us have: Is Dunkin’ open on Thanksgiving?
Well, I couldn’t get a definitive answer. Emails and DMs to Dunkin’ via Twitter and Instagram went unanswered. However, I called three different Dunkin’ locations to find out if they are open on Thanksgiving. I called a Dunkin’ in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a Dunkin’ in Los Angeles, California and my own local Dunkin’ in the suburbs outside of NYC. All three are open on Thanksgiving, but have reduced hours.
So, it looks like many Dunkin’ stores are open on Thanksgiving, at least part of the day. I highly recommend giving a call first to confirm, because there’s nothing like anticipating a Dunkin’ Caramel Swirl latte for your caffeine fix, only to pull up and discover they are closed.
Is Dunkin’ closed on Thanksgiving Day?
If you are going to make a Thanksgiving Day stop at Dunkin’ you have the option of channeling fall vibes with a Pumpkin Swirl coffee or getting into the holiday spirit with a festive Peppermint Mocha Swirl.
Since they serve breakfast all day, Dunkin’ is also a convenient place to stop for breakfast on the way to Grandma’s house. With savory and sweet options, there’s something for everyone.
This can also be the perfect opportunity to try some of the items off Dunkin’s new holiday menu. The Cookie Donut looks especially tasty. The yeast donut is filled with cookie butter buttercreme and topped with maple-flavored icing and crushed cookies.
If you’re stopping at Dunkin’ on the way to your Thanksgiving celebration, grab a bag or two of their packaged coffee. The limited edition Holiday Blend is now available and features flavors of sweet molasses and dried fruit. It’s only available for a limited time and makes a great hostess gift.
With over 8,500 Dunkin’ locations throughout the country, it’s very easy to stop in for a caffeine and sweets fix on Thanksgiving!
