While turkey might be our go to bird on Thanksgiving, sometimes we want something else. Maybe what we really want is chicken from Chick-fil-A.

Considering the deliciousness of the brand’s nuggets, fried chicken sandwiches, and of course their sweet tea, is there any wonder that we might want them even on a holiday. And since chicken is technically a bird that we would be eating, one might even say that we were still thinking poultry for Thanksgiving, even if it isn’t exactly the same bird.

But before we pontificate about how chicken and turkey can at times be interchangeable, we really need to know whether or not the restaurants are open on Thanksgiving Day.

So the big question is, will Chick-fil-A be open on Thanksgiving Day this year.

Is Chick-fil-A closed on Thanksgiving Day 2022?

Sadly there will be no Chick-fil-A chicken on Thanksgiving Day, as the chain is closed on the holiday.

While the company has not updated their holiday page from 2021, that does not negate the fact that every year, this is one of the few holidays that Chick-fil-A shuts their doors. According to the company,

"If you’ve found this page, you’re probably wondering if we are open on Thanksgiving Day.We are not. We’re taking time this day to reflect on what we’re grateful for – our family, friends, Team Members and guests – and to enjoy our second favorite bird."

This means that if you are looking to enjoy a chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, or an ice cold sweet tea, you won’t be able to do it on Thanksgiving Day. But, you can always snag what you want before they close on Wednesday evening or even wait until Friday when they reopen.

Either way, there will be no Chick-fil-A on turkey day.
