When it comes to Thanksgiving, there are a few things that come to mind – turkey, pumpkin pie, stuffing, parades, and more. And one thing that we always think of at Thanksgiving is the leftovers.

But what happens when you are on day three of leftovers and you are sick of the same plate of food? Well you break out the cookbooks, search online, or just have some fun and create something new with those leftovers.

Our big question every year is what can we make with our Thanksgiving leftovers that won’t have us getting sick of the same old, same old? Luckily for us, we have some ideas and suggestions that we think will make those after Thanksgiving meals a whole lot more fun than they would be with a plate of reheated stuffing and turkey.

Thanksgiving leftover recipes: What can you make with your Thanksgiving leftovers?

Turkey Pot Pie

We love a good pot pie and if you are looking to shake things up and use up that leftover turkey, then a Turkey Pot Pie is the way to go. We have made these many times and while we don’t necessarily follow the same recipe every time, we do have one from Taste of Home that we love and we think is perfect for anyone looking to finish up those leftovers and enjoy something that doesn’t scream Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Crunchwrap

If you love Taco Bell, then you probably know all about their Crunchwraps. And as fans of them we have actually written about how to make a duplicate of the iconic Taco Bell menu item at home. But have you ever thought about shaking up the Crunchwrap and making it more seasonal? Thanks to Delish, we now have the coolest way to utilize those Thanksgiving leftovers – by making a Crunchwrap! The fun of this recipe is that you can make it your own or you can follow the steps from Delish and truly go all out with all the leftovers. Turkey, cheese, mashed potatoes, and maybe even some stuffing in a flour tortilla sounds like a great meal to us.

Turkey Tikka Masala

We love the New York Times Cooking Section and when we got a chance to browse their turkey recipes we fell in love with so many of them. It also gave us plenty of inspiration and reasons to have leftovers. Our favorite dish however is their Turkey Tikka Masala.

As fans of classic Tikka Masala, we love the idea of shaking things up by using turkey as our protein. And with this recipe we get everything we need for a perfect after Thanksgiving dinner that has no resemblance to our turkey day meal.

Turkey Salad

There are so many options when it comes to making a turkey salad. Whether you go with a mayo based salad like macaroni or potato salads or you opt for a leafy green salad, there are plenty of salad options when it comes to that left over meat. While Delish has a great recipe for a leafy green recipe, we have one of our own that we like that is more in line with that mayo-based salad.

Our turkey salad is cooked turkey chunked, mayo, dried cranberries, a little salt and pepper, some chopped pecans (or pick the nut of your choice), and a little stone ground mustard. It’s all about using as much or as little of each of the ingredients to create the perfect salad for you. (We like ours a little creamier so we definitely add more of the mayo and mustard.)
