19. Maine

Featured Dish: Lobster Bisque

Three Words to Describe It: Creamy, Rich, Classic

These next two states definitely have some specific foods and flavors worth talking about. First up is Maine, and for Maine’s classic Christmas dish we’re going to talk all about some delicious and creamy Lobster Bisque. My personal favorite way to eat it is with some lobster chunks in it, but it is still super delicious all creamily blended together as one. You can make little soup shooters as an appetizer or even serve it as a warm up soup course. This soup is not to be missed this year!

Have you tried this delicious holiday treat yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

20. Maryland

Featured Dish: Crab Cakes

Three Words to Describe It: “Meaty”, Fresh, Flavorful

Next up on these two states is Maryland. I can’t but think of Crab whenever I think of the whole entire state of Maryland. Crab Cakes are such a flavor-packed dish that can work equally well as being served as an appetizer or even as part of your main course offerings. They are super meaty, fresh, and definitely somewhat versatile in the flavors that you may add to them. Try out some different dipping sauces to go with them and allow your guests to choose and customize!
