35. Ohio

Featured Dish: Buckeyes

Three Words to Describe It: Nutty, Chocolatey, Sweet

How can you not talk about Buckeyes when you’re thinking of or talking about the state of Ohio?! If you don’t know, then Google it and come back! A Buckeye is traditionally made from a base of peanut butter-flavored fudge dipped in chocolate…but not all of it is dipped. Usually a circle of the PB fudge is visible once they’re all dried and done. They got their delicious name from resembling the eye of a deer, which is also said to bring people good luck. Bring on the Buckeyes!!

36. Oklahoma

Featured Dish: Cinnamon Rolls

Three Words to Describe It: Warm, Creamy, Delicious

Cinnamon Rolls are a classic. Maybe not particularly for Christmas, but definitely just for life in general. This year, my nephew Dominic was selling some for his school, and we are going to make them fresh on Christmas morning! I mean, come on…how does a warm and oh so gooey Cinnamon Roll with a nice hot cup of coffee on Christmas morning not sound super delicious and comforting to you. Not a coffee drinker? Cinnamon Rolls don’t discriminate! Try some hot tea or cold milk!
