While Burger King has long used the tagline “The Home of the Whopper,” it is becoming increasingly confusing about exactly which Whopper the fast food chain is talking about. Because over the last few years, they have released so many different Whoppers.

Over Halloween they released a Ghost Pepper Whopper, before that was a Southwest Bacon Whopper, before that was the debut of Whopper Melts. In Japan they even released a Whopper that included shaved ice.

And now, if the report from the folks at Chewboom is accurate, there is another new Whopper on the way. While it has only been seen on the Burger King website, it sounds like a sandwich that plenty of people may enjoy.

There is no release date for the Burger King Shroom n’ Swiss Whopper Melt.

According to Chewboom, a brand new Shroom n’ Swiss Whopper Melt has been spotted on the Burger King website. Which considering how popular the combination of mushroom and Swiss cheese is, you have to wonder what took them so long.

The Shroom n’ Swiss Whopper Melt apparently includes a pair of Whopper Jr. patties, Swiss cheese (obviously) and fire roasted mushrooms all topped with Royal Sauce and put between two slices of toasted bread.

As we mentioned, nothing is known as of yet when the new sandwich will arrive at Burger King or if it is a test menu item that will only get a very limited release. However, given how well the Whopper Melts have done for the chain, you have to think they’ll be available everywhere very soon.
