Is Subway open on Christmas Day 2022?
Sandwiches. Personally I can never get enough. But a sandwich on Christmas? Really?! Well…sometimes a sandwich is the perfect option when missing out on Christmas dinner, but that brings us a pretty important question: Is Subway open on Christmas?
For me the Earl Of Sandwich was the smartest man in inventor history. What better meal is there? It does away with leftovers perfectly (especially meatballs), and really provides a balanced meal for anyone, and furthermore they’re easy to carry around.
*Did you know: The 4th Earl Of Sandwich, John Montagu, invented the sandwich in 1762, and all because he was immersed in quite the card game (the card game that would change history as the world knew it), and invented the meal all because he didn’t want to get up to interrupt the game! According to earlofsandwichusa.com, he asked to have a few slices of roast beef places between two pieces of bread and all so that he could eat with his free hand as he played!
So…can I get a Subway sandwich on Christmas or not?
Anyways…enough of my ode to the sandwich and the Earl who invented it, but these sentiments are probably why restaurants like Subway did so well in the first place. The word useful comes to mind, and when it comes to Subway, they are in fact also quite delicious.
But the question remains: Will they be open on Christmas for those of us that have to be out there in the cold on Christmas day instead of in front of the fire with that tumbler of spiked eggnog?
As it turns out the answer is sadly NO. On Christmas Eve Subway will apparently be operating on their regular schedule, but according to theholidayschedule.com, on the 25th Subway will be closed.
The only chance you have is if a privately owned location decides to stay open; then you’re pretty much good to go, but I suggest you call ahead and don’t wait for the 25th.
Call as soon as you read this, dear readers. Go… What are you waiting for? “Time is of the essence,” the Earl urges you!
