The $5 Cravings Box has long been, much like the Whopper and the Big Mac, the iconic deal long associated with Taco Bell. You would normally get a taco, whatever new menu item they were promoting at the time, a side and a fountain drink for thew low, low price of five bucks.

But as with everything else in the world today, prices continue to increase across the board, especially in the fast food industry. So the report from the folks at Chewboom that The Bell is testing a new $6 version of their Cravings Box shouldn’t be all that shocking.

But if we’re all being perfectly honest with ourselves, even at six bucks, it’s still one heck of a deal.

The Taco Bell $6 Cravings Trio is available now for a limited time in Ohio.

According to the report, the new box is being called the $6 Cravings Trio and as the name indicates, it includes three different items for a grand total of six dollars. It is currently available in three different versions and right now is only available in Columbus, Ohio.

All three versions include a Doritos Locos Taco and a medium fountain drink. But that is where the similarities stop. As for the third item you have the choice of adding a Cheesy Gordita, a Crunchwrap Supreme or a Mexican Pizza.

Honestly everyone should have seen this coming. While this is being called a test by Taco Bell, the odds are pretty good this will be rolled out nationwide by the summertime. The fact The Bell was able to hold the line at $5 for as long as they did is pretty amazing.

If you like in the Columbus area, the $6 Cravings Trio will be available for a limited time.
