What are your New Year’s resolutions? Do they include a trip to Starbucks to kickstart the year? Or are you cutting back on caffeine in 2023?
Did anyone else laugh really loudly at the idea of not having as much caffeine for the new year as I did? I will admit that I have a bit of a Starbucks problem. For some reason I always need my fix, whether we are talking about the Caramel Brulé latte for the holidays, the pumpkin cream cold brew in the fall, a caramel macchiato, or an iced Matcha green tea latte. It doesn’t quite matter what the drink is, sometimes you just need that trip to get caffeinated.
However, just because we need our caffeine that doesn’t necessarily mean we can get our caffeine. So on New Year’s Day 2023, the big question we have is whether or not we can actually go to the closest Starbucks and enjoy the perfect sip to kick off a new year.
Is Starbucks closed on New Year’s Day 2023?
After driving to a number of locations in my own area, I can tell you based on my own experience that some locations will be open, while others will be closed. I believe it is based on the amount of traffic that these stores get regularly, as much as it is on the fact that it is a holiday.
Well the answer is not as easy as a simple yes, in general we can say that Starbucks will be open on New Year’s Day 2023. But, as Mashed reports, not all locations will be open for the holiday. Typically, Starbucks lets people know that they will welcome people in on the holiday at “select locations“ and that those stores may be operating at reduced hours as well.
All things considered, we highly recommend checking the app to see what your closest stores hours will be on New Year’s Day. And if you don’t have the app, you can always go online to the website and check the store locator for more information as well.
