It’s officially a whole new year. And as we welcome in 2023 you might be wondering whether or not Chick-fil-A is open to celebrate New Year’s Day with.

There is something to be said about starting the day with a chicken and biscuit sandwich. Or maybe you’re more of a lunch person, and that means some hot nuggets with honey mustard dipping sauce, or even a classic chicken sandwich (with or without cheese). Whatever your order may be, in order to get it the restaurant has to be open.

And that leads us to the most important question of the day, which is whether or not Chick-fil-A is actually open on January 1.

Is Chick-fil-A open on New Year’s Day 2023?

Unfortunately for all of us who love our Chick-fil-A, they will not be open on New Year’s Day. While we did have to go back to 2021 to see if they would be open for New Yeat’s Eve, the fact that New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday means that the restaurant would not have been open anyway. Had New Year’s Day fallen on any other day of the week, this would’ve been a different conversation.

This means that if you want to start the year off with a sweet tea and a chicken and biscuits sandwich in the morning, you’ll have to wait until January 2 to make that happen. Of course, you could always try another restaurant (looking at you Popeyes), but we already know that most of us will wait until January 2 for the chicken sandwiches and the sweet tea that we love.
