Getting take-out food has become a regular practice for people across America. For whatever reasons, take-out orders have been at an all-time high in the more recent times. But what cuisines are most popular to get take-out from? What do Americans love the most?

According to Think Tasty, a survey was done to figure out what America’s top 10 take-out cuisines were, and we’ve got a hold of that list!

From least popular to most popular, here are the top 10 most ordered take-out cuisines in America!

10. Mediterranean

Personally, when I think of Mediterranean foods, I think of super fresh veggies, rich olive oils, and maybe even throwing in some feta cheese here and there.

  • Hummus
  • Green Goddess Chicken Thighs
  • Moussaka
  • Mediterranean Shrimp & Orzo Salad

According to the Think Tasty survey, roughly 16% of Americans enjoy Mediterranean food regularly.

9. Indian

When I think of Indian foods, I think of a lot of different spices, tons of different chicken dishes, but also a lot of curry-based foods. This kinda scares me, as it does many other Americans.

  • Butter Chicken
  • Frybread
  • Tandoori Chicken
  • Dosa

The survey revealed, roughly 19% of Americans enjoy Indian food regularly.

8. Spanish

It’s hard for me to think of different Spanish foods. I’ve rarely, if ever, even seen a Spanish restaurant near me. I’m super curious to see some of their classic foods!

  • Gazpacho de Mango

7. Thai

I’ve heard a ton of things about Thai food, but I’ve only ever dabbled into trying different dishes in the Thai cuisines a couple times. It’s rich, flavorful, and delicious nonetheless.

Now, given that I am Italian, ordering it out isn’t always top on my list; the homemade stuff has always and will always taste better, but Americans love to order and make it!

This is quite possibly the fastest takeout cuisine option that we’ve talked about thus far. I love that when ordering Mexican food, it’s always fresh and I never have to wait too long for it!

Here we are, folks…we’ve officially made it to the number one takeout cuisine in America. I’m not surprised at this one as there are so many different fast casual options…in Malls especially!
