Is Hulu’s Best in Dough renewed for Season 2 in 2023?

There is something to be said about being the best in show. It’s another story to be Best in Dough.

If you’re a fan of the Hulu series, you’ll know why that’s such a big deal. Being a pizza competition show isn’t anything new, but Best in Dough puts a twist on the typical cooking competition.

In Season 1, each episode focused on a different group of pizza cooks who start off with an “Out of the Box” challenge to get them out of their comfort zone. After a winner is declared, round 2 is the “Final Dough Down” which usually ends up being a challenge that plays on the contestant’s strengths.

Currently, Season 1 of Best in Dough is streaming on Hulu. With 10 episodes already under its belt, could we be seeing more in the future?

Is Best in Dough renewed for Season 2 on Hulu?

Currently, as of January 2023, we don’t know if Hulu has decided to renew Best in Dough or if the streaming platform will cancel it. As enjoyable as the first season was though, it would be a shame to see the streamer not even give it another season as the show was tons of fun.

With Wells Adams serving as host along with the rotating group of judges and contestants, you really never what you were getting in any given episode. One thing was for certain and it was that Wells or Daniele would make a cheesy joke you couldn’t help but chuckle at. While it was still a competition, the show feels more like the contestants and judges having fun together.

Honestly, it was just cool to see what each group of competitors was able to come up with especially when the mothers and daughters were paired together. Of all the episodes, that one was easily one of my favorites. It was hilarious to watch them work together and see how everyone interacted.

While we don’t have a definite answer on when or if Best in Dough will be renewed, it’s good to know Wells is happy to return. In an interview with Distractify, he was quoted as saying, “I hope to God we get a Season 2 and Season 3 and Season 4 and Season 5 because it was the most fun I’ve ever had on a television set.” No matter what, Hulu has to take that into consideration as Wells really does make the show a lot of fun.

Personally, I just finished up with Season 1 of Best in Dough and I loved it. If you’re looking for a fun weekend watch, then this is a good one and the episodes are usually less than 40 minutes. It’s so much fun but don’t be made if you decide to order a pizza before you get to the middle of the series.
