Blueberry and Crème Pie is returning to McDonald’s
By D. Goodman
Say what you want about the McDonald’s Apple Pie, but it has long been an iconic part of the fast food landscape in this country. I mean, if you haven’t scorched the top of your mouth eating one fresh out of the cardboard, are you really an American?
Both the Apple Pie and the classic Milkshakes (provided you can find a McDonald’s where the milkshake machine is working) have been a part of Americana for generations. However, there are other desserts just as popular that many have forgotten.
One of those is the Blueberry and Crème Pie. Last available in 2017, the dessert has an ardent, if small following that has been begging the fast food chain to bring it back for a return engagement. And now, it’s being reported those fans can begin celebrating.
The Blueberry and Crème Pie will be back at McDonald’s for a limited time
According to CNN, the Blueberry and Crème Pie has been spotted on sale at a little less than half of the McDonald’s locations around the country. The company is saying that the pie will not be available everywhere and is not a nationwide release.
For those wondering, the Blueberry and Crème Pie is half filled with blueberries and half filled with vanilla crème, layered side by side. It is served hot in a crispy pie pastry shell. Think an Apple Pie just blue and white and no apples.
The pie will only be available for a limited time and thus far has been spotted in Illinois, New York and Southern California. So if you want to try one and see it for sale again, get one while you can and spread the word. Because who knows when it’ll be back again.
