McDonald’s has announced that the price of a cheeseburger will increase for the first time in 14 years blaming soaring costs and said other big price increases were on the horizon. The increases come as the UK faces a cost of living crisis, as inflation hits a near-30-year high, the war in Ukraine puts pressure on food prices and rising energy bills squeeze household incomes still further. It feels like a day doesn’t go by that we here at Guilty Eats have to sadly report on one of our beloved fast food chains releasing a new product somewhere other than right here in the U.S. of A. And today, that chain is McDonald’s.

Now unlike Burger King, which seems to love to torture their American fans with new and amazing menu items that aren’t for sale here, McDonald’s hasn’t been nearly as bad. However, if what we learned is true, then Ronald McDonald has some explaining to do.

According to some accounts on social media, McDonald’s Sweden has revealed a new line-up of desserts. That would be bad enough but each one sounds better than the last. And exactly none of them are available here.

I call Shenanigans!

The 5 new desserts will be at McDonald’s Sweden for a limited time only.

The new line-up includes five new dessert items that all sound amazing. They include:

  • The Cookie Dough McFlurry which has vanilla ice cream, cookie dough and fudge sauce.
  • The Banana Milkshake
  • The Oreo Milkshake which has ice cream, fudge sauce and Oreo cookie pieces
  • The Frappe Caramel which is a frappe with caramel mixed with coffee
  • The Frappe Oreo Mocha, which takes the Frappe Caramel and adds Oreo pieces to the party.

Tell me that any one of those wouldn’t sell like gangbusters here in the States?

Hopefully McDonald’s will realize they’re sitting on a goldmine and will bring them stateside in time for the summer. Because we don’t know if we can live without at least trying a Cookie Dough McFlurry before we die.

If you are lucky enough to happen to be in Sweden and want to try them, the line-up is a limited time offering so get them while you can.

Next. The Mint Chocolate Shake has returned to Arby’s. dark
