Pepsi says ‘goodbye’ to Sierra Mist and ‘hello’ to brand new STARRY

We all know and love the delicious lemon-lime soda, Sierra Mist. Well, unfortunately, we won’t be able to enjoy it much longer, so if you’re a huge fan, grab some while you can. Pepsi has decided to exhile Sierra Mist and welcome in a brand new version of said soda called STARRY.

STARRY will feature the same sort of lemon-lime flavors and still comes in both regular and zero-sugar versions, much like Sierra Mist did!

Since 2019, there have been some serious increases in the demand for lemon-lime-flavored sodas. Because of that, Pepsi has decided to answer said demands with a brand new soda! With the slogan, “STARRY hits different”, Pepsi is looking to revamp the world of lemon-lime sodas as this particular category still seems to be seeing some serious acceleration in demand.

Here’s what an early press-release had to say all about launching said new product(s):

"“…STARRY is easy to drink, optimally sweet, and delivers both an exceptional taste and flavor experience. STARRY is caffeine-free and is available in a variety of sizes to provide a refreshing burst of lemon lime flavor for every occasion.”"

Danielle Barbaro, Vice President (VP) R & D over at PepsiCo Beverages North America, had this to say about what they’ve since been able to create with their brand new lemon-lime soda:

"“With STARRY, we were able to create a game-changing recipe with the perfect balance of lemon and lime flavor and sweetness compared to the competition.” ~ Danielle Barbaro"

In the coming months, there will be a series of announcements, as well as commercials to further promote this brand new particular product(s). This also includes “a national TV commercial, 360 digital and social content and large-scale sports, culture, and entertainment partnerships!

I actually found it in a local grocery store of mine and was able to get my hands on a couple bottles and try it. I gotta be honest with you: from the words of my Mom, I truly think it’s just the same old Sierra Mist with a different brighter label slapped onto it. To me, it tastes absolutely no different!
