While most people celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day can fall under the radar. If you’re in the DMV area, there are multiple options for celebrating at Hen Quarter.

There is so much to be excited about in the month of February and Hen Quarter is taking advantage of that. To me, there is nothing more fun than celebrating Valentine’s Day but Galentine’s Day is an entirely different level of fun.

Considering that Galentine’s Day is now being recognized by friends everywhere after being part of a Parks and Recreation episode, that’s pretty great. Regardless of how you’re deciding to celebrate 2023, you can head out if you’re alone, with a partner, and just need something fun to do that week.

Thankfully, we were able to get a preview of what’s to come at Hen Quarter for both Galentine’s Day (Feb. 13) and Valentine’s Day which is February 14th so let’s break it down.

Hen Quarter is here for your 2023 Galentine’s Day and Valentine’s Day needs.

If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate in 2023, then Hen Quarter is worth putting on your list if you’re either near or visiting Alexandria, Virginia. The first up is on February 13th which is Galentine’s Day: the “Swiftie Galentine’s Day Party.” The event will take place from 5 pm until 10 pm and will feature Taylor-themed drinks and DJ Confetti the First playing mixes of Taylor Swift songs all night. Honestly, I’m ready to jump in the car and head there for my Galentine’s Day celebration.

Galentine’s Day might not be your style so if you’re looking for something a bit slower-paced, Hen Quarter is also offering a three-course meal for $45 with a wine pairing for $25. This offer begins on February 10th and will end on February 19th so you’re able to get something before, during, and after Valentine’s Day.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, there will also be two options: Hen Quarter and the Rub. The Rub is basically a pop-up where you can do casual dining and then upstairs is Hen Quarter which is a full-service restaurant. For Valentine’s Day, there is going to be the “Hen Quarter and The Rub Chicken & Beer Valentine Lovers vs. Haters Party.”

Hen Quarter is for lovers if you’re looking to have a romantic date night and enjoy some music. As for the Rub, it’s all about being a hater because you’re able to write about your ex on the Breakup wall, have some anti-V-Day drinks, and even enjoy some anti-V-Day songs via a DJ. Essentially, The Rub is for my single pringles while Hen Quarter is for those who want to spend some time with their love.

Regardless of either option, I feel like spending Galentine’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or both at Hen Quarter or the Rub is such a fun idea. Even if it might be a bit of a drive, I think it would be worth it with how much fun you could have.
