Super Bowl 57 Recipes: What are the Google trends?
The Super Bowl is almost upon us and our friends at Google know we’re on the hunt for something to fill our bellies with.
Regardless if you’re rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs or the Philadelphia Eagles, I think most of us are looking forward to the food we’re planning on eating. It might be that or the fact that Rihanna is performing during halftime.
Even if you aren’t planning on watching, there’s no reason why you can’t eat like you are and all over America, people are searching for Super Bowl recipes. While most of these can seem a bit predictable, a few are frankly off-the-wall to put it nicely.
No matter if you’re drinking, eating or just looking for some ideas, we’re here to break down some of the most searched-up recipes for Super Bowl 57.
Google shares insights into Super Bowl 57 recipes before the big game.
Despite the day after the Super Bowl being a Monday, a lot of people are looking to partake in a little drinking. Honestly, I can’t blame you especially if your team is playing. As for what most people are looking to drink, the most popular search term is Super Bowl Punch which makes sense. Some of the other drink recipes being hunted for are a Paloma, a Margarita, Michelada, and a Mojito.
As someone who works in a meat department, I can attest to the fact of chicken wings are a HUGE seller for the Super Bowl. That’s why it would make sense for people to be searching up different wing flavors with the most popular actually being lemon pepper. Unsurprisingly, buffalo comes in at number two while honey garlic, BBQ, and teriyaki round out the list. Personally, I’m shocked at how low BBQ is on the list, but I will say that lemon pepper is the real shocker.
Speaking of buffalo wings though, it’s no surprise that the term is searched highest in February in accordance with the Super Bowl. There’s also been an uptick in searches for nachos and ham and cheese sliders. If you’re wondering about each team’s city, KC is searching for cocktail meatball recipes most frequently while Philly residents are looking at seven-layer dip recipes.
Honestly, my favorite stat of all though is what the top searched recipes for the past week have been so let’s break those down.
- Buffalo chicken dip
- Chili
- Philly cheesesteak
- Pigs in a blanket
- Banana bread
I feel like most of these seem a bit obvious aside from the last one. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see the connection between the Super Bowl and banana bread. Regardless, searching for dip recipes has been at the forefront of SB watchers’ minds with every single state searching for a different recipe with the most popular being Buffalo chicken dip while some were searching for queso dip, taco dip, jalapeno popper dip, and spinach dip.
