If you’re on TikTok or Instagram, especially if you’re in foodie spaces, chances are you’ve seen B. Dylan Hollis’ videos on his account bdylanhollis. His account is dedicated to making recipes from decades or sometimes centuries ago. And while most are interesting, not all of them are all that tasty. The use of Jell-o and mayo in the past should be studied.

Now, and much to fans’ delight, Hollis is coming out with his own cookbook. Baking Yesteryear includes 101 curated recipes. Since Hollis has cooked from many different antique cookbooks over the years (good and bad) he made sure to include most of his favorites.

B. Dylan Hollis is bringing his Tik Tok magic to a cookbook of his own

The book features recipes from the 1900s to the 1980s. Some of the recipes include 1900s Cornflake Macaroons, 1910s ANZAC Biscuits, 1930s Peanut Butter Bread, 1940s Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake (which is shockingly good), 1950s Tomato Soup Cake (also surprisingly good), and the 1970s Potato Chip Cookies. There is also the famous (or infamous) Christmas Crack recipe.

And because sometimes the worst recipes were some of the most fun to watch Dylan make, he also included a couple of those as well. Just maybe don’t make those for a special occasion.

But besides the recipes, the book also features Dylan’s personality and lots of puns. It sounds like it will be like watching one of his videos but in book form.

The cookbook is set to come out on July 25, 2023 and is currently available to preorder as a hardcover or ebook on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but don’t forget to check out your local bookstore as well.
