Jell-O is celebrating Easter with their new jelly beans

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 08: Boxes of Jell-O are seen on display at Ideal Food Basket on November 08, 2021 in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn borough in New York City. Snack makers Kraft Heinz and Mondelez announced that they will be raising prices for retail customers on several of their products, including Kraft Mac & Cheese, Jell-O, Bagel Bites, Cool Whip, Toblerone, Sour Patch Kids and other items starting next year. They also said that if the retail customers do not pay, the price hike will be passed on to the public. Food and consumer product manufacturers are dealing with higher costs due to labor, raw materials, transportation and other expenses like most U.S. companies, with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forcing a high demand for snacks due to consumers spending more time at home. Easter may seem very far away but many brands are already announcing their new products for the Easter holiday. Bunnies and chicks and jelly beans, oh my! And speaking of jelly beans, a well-loved brand is getting into the candy game. It’s Jell-O!

Jell-O is set to come out with bags of jelly beans for the spring holiday. And don’t worry, the beans are not jiggly or made of Jell-O (I checked). They are made just like all the other jelly beans but come in some of Jell-O’s most iconic flavors.

The flavors include lime, cherry, berry blue (yes, please) , strawberry, and orange. Sorry, lemon lovers. No lemon jelly beans this time. The jelly beans also come in a very spring-y bag with bunnies, leaves, and eggs all over it and lots of pastel colors.

While these jelly beans are set to be everywhere once we get closer to April, according to Markie_devo on Instagram, they have already been spotted at Walmart. I was just at Target last week and they already had a wall of Easter candy right next to the Valentine’s Day stuff so if Easter candy is your thing, your time is here!

Jell-O jelly beans are just the thing for your Easter basket

It will be interesting to see how these stack up against the others on the market, especially when it comes to flavor. It’s very hard to beat Jelly Belly or Starburst jelly beans. Starburst jelly bean flavors are always bright, fruity, and juicy. Hopefully, these have similar characteristics. If they are good, maybe they can do their pudding flavors next! I wonder what a chocolate pudding jelly bean might taste like.
