Vital Farms wants you to put an egg on it for February

If there’s one hot-button item everyone’s talking about, it’s eggs. Vital Farms is taking it to another level and in lieu of a recent holiday, there’s a fun twist.

Even though Valentine’s Day is now over, you can still cash it but not in the way you might imagine. For the company’s Valentine’s Day campaign, they released a hilarious and surprisingly relatable ad featuring the classic marriage proposal.

That’s where things get a bit unorthodox. Instead of him getting down on one knee and pulling out a ring, he pulls out an egg and honestly, I feel like that’s pretty funny. It also helps tie into their larger campaign as a whole which is what we’ll be discussing in a moment.

Regardless of how you feel about the commercial, there is no denying that Vital Farms had a great idea and the company ran with it.

Vital Farms is here to make you “Put An Egg On It” for a huge opportunity.

While “Put an Egg on It” does seem a little silly, it can end up being a big reward for you. As Vital Farms is one of the largest U.S. producers of pasture-raised eggs, they know a thing or two about the recent “eggflation.”

To try and make things a bit more romantic this season, they’re asking people to propose with an egg. The press release gives a bit more information: “Beyond the campaign spots, we’re alleviating the stress of walking down the aisle. We’ll stock one person’s fridge with a lifetime supply of eggs in exchange for a photo of their own creative egg proposal. Learn more about the promotion at: vitalfarms.com/love.”

As absurd as it might seem, a lifetime supply of eggs is no joke, especially in this economy. I feel like there is so much potential to do some fun and unique ideas. You could play off “What comes first: the chicken or the egg?” or something related to the Easter Bunny. Additionally, you could just do a “proposal” shoot that is egg-themed as a way to pay homage to the idea.

Regardless of what you’re looking to do, you don’t have much time to your entries in. The contest began on February 14th and will end on February 24th. You still have time, but not much so if you’re a Vital Farms fan, this one is timely and vital if you’re looking to have an eggcellent rest of the year (or life!)

Some say a proposal starts the rest of your life, but an egg proposal might end up being a new start to the rest of your life. That’s all up to you and Vital Farms, though.
