Kraft Singles is here with two new varieties for 2023
Cheese is a universally-loved food and one of the biggest brands is Kraft. I’m sure most of us recognize the company’s signature Kraft Singles and can picture the package clearly.
However, Kraft Singles are getting two new additions to its lineup which are an Ultra Thin and Ultra Thick variety. Frankly, I’m surprised Kraft didn’t roll this out sooner but they’re here now, and that’s all that matters.
While I remember using the original Kraft Singles for grilled cheese sandwiches, the two different types of “Ultra Thin” and “Ultra Thick” leave room for interpretation. To me though, it’s a huge step in the right direction for Kraft and Kraft Singles as a whole.

As far as American cheese goes, Kraft is among one of the best and the leader of the pack when it comes to grocery store brands. There is just something so nostalgic about the Kraft Singles brand and its packaging which makes it incredibly exciting to see the company launching these new products.
Starting things off, we’re getting into the “Ultra Thin” variety which features 30 slices rather than the regular 24. The “Ultra Thin” slices also have 30% fewer calories than the original slices. While American Cheese isn’t known for being healthy, this can help you lessen your intake while still getting the same flavor.
If you’re looking to enjoy the “Ultra Thin” variety, I’d suggest this for sliders, making your own cheese crisps, or even adding it to a sandwich if you’re looking for a nice lunch compliment. No matter how you decide to use it, it’s worth adding to your rotation if you’re looking for a different variety of Kraft.
Moving onto the “Ultra Thick” variety, this is where things change significantly. Firstly, this one only comes with 16 slices in each package versus the normal 24. It makes sense that these slices are 50% thicker than their predecessor. For those who are always adding that extra slice, then you’re now able to use one slice rather than using up two.
The type of slices would be great for any sandwich, but mostly for grilled cheese. You could also use the “Ultra Thick” slices for burgers, on top of your casseroles if you’re looking for a cheesy layer, of course, macaroni and cheese. Regardless of what you’re looking to use these for, the “Ultra Thick” slices can add an entirely new layer to your favorite cheesy dishes.
No matter which variety you decide to try, you can’t deny Kraft Singles is the leader of the pack when it comes to American cheese.
