Much like Taco Bell, the fans of the fast casual chain Chipotle can be a little obsessive about their favorite place to grab something to eat. And they aren’t shy about sharing exactly why they are so devoted and go back again and again.

A big part of the reason is the fact that the food is ridiculously fresh. Everything is cooked on the premises and the taste reflects that. Add decent prices and a willingness to experiment with new flavors and Chipotle is everything a lover of Mexican-inspired food could want.

And it’s that willingness to experiment that should have their regulars pretty excited. Chipotle has announced that they have added a brand new protein option to the menu. The first time they have done so worldwide.

Chipotle fans, say hello to Chicken al Pastor.

Chipotle is offering plenty of deals to celebrate the launch of Chicken al Pastor.

So what is it about Chicken al Pastor that has Chipotle so worked up? Well, it starts with chicken that has been freshly grilled and seasoned with a mixture of the brand’s iconic adobo, seared morita peppers and ground achiote with a touch of pineapple. That is topped off with a splash of fresh lime and hand chopped cilantro to add the perfect amount of heat.

And did we mention that it’s made fresh? In the kitchen? Several times a day in small batches to ensure the quality and freshness that fans have come to expect?

Chipotle is pretty anxious for you to try their latest creation. So anxious that from March 16 until March 26, customers will be able to get is delivered with a $0 delivery fee if you order the Chicken al Pastor through the mobile app or Chipotle.com.

No delivery fee! I mean, you really don’t have a reason not to try it, right?

Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer for Chipotle feels that their new menu item will be a sure fire hit with their customers.

"“Guests are looking to restaurants for unique menu items they cannot make at home, and al pastor has been gaining mass appeal in recent years. We’ve put our own spicy spin on al pastor with our freshly grilled chicken and have created a truly delicious menu item that fans will crave. It’s where fire meets flavor.”"
