Spring has sprung, and fast food restaurants are giving us their best shot at delicious new menu items. And one of those new menu items is blueberry lemonade!

When you think of spring and summer, there are probably a few things that come to mind. But when it comes to what we are sipping on, lemonade has to be near the top of the list. So how do you make lemonade innovative? Well, if you are Wendy’s and Arby’s, you’re probably adding blueberry.

Recently, Wendy’s unveiled their new additions to the spring menu. And in the drink category they are adding a blueberry pomegranate lemonade. It sounds refreshing and crisp, all without being overly tart or sweet. But it is clear that Arby’s is not letting Wendy’s take all of the blueberry lemonade love this season. Why? Because they are also unveiling a blueberry lemonade for spring.

Wendy’s and Arby’s are thinking Spring (and Summer) with new blueberry lemonade options

So how did we learn about the newest drink on the Arby’s menu? From our foodie friend @markie_devo on Instagram of course. And according to him, this new beverage option will be available starting on March 27.  This is one day earlier than the Wendy’s menu drop. Which means, you will get to try what Arby’s has to offer before the Wendy’s menu drop, giving you plenty of time to decide which company has the best flavor of blueberry lemonade.

Of course, we have to admit that we are excited for what Wendy’s is giving us because it’s not just blueberry. The fact that they are also adding in pomegranate takes this particular flavor to a whole different level. And we are okay with that. In fact, we think the addition of the pomegranate might actually give Wendy’s the edge this spring.

But we want to know what you think. Are you excited for two different types of blueberry lemonades? Will you be ordering from both Arby’s and Wendy’s? Do you think the addition of pomegranate will give Wendy’s the edge? Let us know in the comments below.
