Oreo has a new limited-edition chocolatey flavor

If you thought Oreo couldn’t come up with any new flavors, you were wrong because they just came out with a new, amazing flavor. It’s chocolate-flavored (and no, I don’t just mean the cookie), limited edition so you’ll want to grab it while it’s available, and the flavor is based on a well-known dessert.

So what’s the new flavor? It’s Blackout Cake! If you don’t know what a blackout cake is, it’s a chocolate cake filled with chocolate pudding and topped with chocolate cake crumbs. It’s hard to get more chocolatey than that.

The Oreo Blackout Cake Sandwich Cookie features the classic chocolate Oreo cookie with Chocolate Cake flavor creme filling and a Dark Chocolate Cake creme filling. Yes, that is two layers of delicious chocolate creme!

The new cookie flavor will become available nationwide starting in April 2023 while supplies last. And considering how much we all love chocolate, there is no way these are going to be around for a long time. Get them before they sell out!

Oreo introduces new Blackout Cake sandwich cookie

If you are a chocoholic, I know you are probably no longer reading. You are already staking out the grocery store and figuring out how many boxes you’re going to buy.

This is probably one of the brand’s richest cookie flavors, but considering a blackout cake is a very rich dessert, it makes sense. Probably the only cookie that could come close would be another one of the dessert-inspired Oreos: the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreo. And if this Blackout Cake cookie is anything as delicious as that pie Oreo, it may need to be available all year round. We can hope, right?
