8. Sausage McMuffin with Egg

While we still beg and plead for the Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel to be on the All-Day Breakfast menu, this one was a no-brainer.

The Sausage McMuffin with Egg has been McDonald’s premier sandwich for a long as I can remember. Just like Burger King has its signature Croissan’which, the Sausage McMuffin has been its champion for breakfast time. Now, to be honest, the Croissan’wich does have a leg up on the McMuffin. It’s bigger and the Croissant gives the traditional sandwich a nice, unique flavor.

However, the Sausage McMuffin tops the Croissan’which in the simple fact that you can get it at any time of the day. Also, the McMuffin is cheaper, meaning you’ll save a bit in your pocket and still get a great sandwich to kickstart your day.

As Burger King innovated with putting a croissant on a breakfast sandwich, so too did McDonald’s, upping the ante when they went with the muffin for their signature breakfast sandwich. Now, one thing that you have to know is that the Sausage McMuffin doesn’t come with egg, so you have to tell the order taker that you want the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, which is the best version of this sandwich.

You can get the Sausage McMuffin without the egg, and it’s OK, but why would you cheat yourself like that? Don’t cheat yourself out of a good breakfast sandwich, it puts a damper on the day.
