NEW YORK, NY – FEBRUARY 09: A McDonald’s sign hangs in lower Manhattan on February 9, 2015 in New York City. McDonald’s Corporation has said sales in January fell a worse-than-expected 1.8%. While the fast-food restaurant chain said U.S. and Europe sales showed signs of improvement, Asia sales slowed. 7. Quarter Pounder with Cheese

Now that we’ve gotten McDonald’s simpletons out of the way, it’s time to rank the heart of their classics, starting with the Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

For some, this burger may be ranked a bit too low. For the burger’s diehard fans, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese is head-above better than the other burgers on their menu. No other premium burger carries a quarter-pound burger topped with melted cheese, pickles, and onions, topped with ketchup.

Who wants “special sauce” on their burger when you can do it the old fashion way? That, in a nutshell, is what makes the Quarter Pounder a special burger. It doesn’t go above in beyond, not in taste nor in creativity. It’s an old-fashioned burger that has withstood the test of time and is still a classic to this very day.

If you feel differently about the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, then that’s your preference. Over its many years gracing McDonald’s menu board, it has acquired its share of haters, but, overall, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese is a staple that has long been one of McDonald’s best inventions, and maybe I’ve ranked it a bit too low, but there are other staples that deserved their ranking above the Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
