4. Chicken Nuggets

In 1985, McDonald’s launched a commercial that would change the face of the franchise and fast food in general.

It featured a box of talking chicken nuggets, announcing to the world that McDonald’s was getting into the chicken game. Over time, other restaurants such as Burger King and Wendy’s got in on the act, but McDonald’s version has withstood all challenges, all while preserving the taste that has gravitated people to the chicken nuggets since that commercial campaign.

Now, I will say that, when the chicken nuggets are served lukewarm or cold, it’s not a pleasant experience. However, if the chicken nuggets come in hot, add in the right amount of sweet n’ sour sauce, and, my friends, you have one of the best menu items on McDonald’s board.

Oh, I can hear the complaints now.

“Wendy’s is way better than McDonald’s! What are you smoking?”

“Burger King’s is cheaper and they give you more for the price. Stop being a McDonald’s shill!”

“My [insert significant other] makes better chicken nuggets than McDonald’s, troll.”

Fair enough.

I’m not saying that I would read these comments, but it’s a possibility that I may get these sentences thrown in at the end of this slideshow. Look, I eat all three, and while I think Wendy’s product is more consistent, Burger King’s is pretty much on the same level as McDonald’s. If it’s hot, it’s good. If it’s not? God help your taste buds.

This is a slideshow about McDonald’s menu, and their chicken nuggets are one of the best to grace it, regardless of how you feel about them.
