DES PLAINES, IL – OCTOBER 24: In this photo illustration, a McChicken sandwich sits with typical Dollar Menu items sold at a McDonald’s restaurant on October 24, 2013 in Des Plaines, Illinois. McDonald’s has announced it will make changes to its low-priced Dollar Menu, which includes items like coffee, small fries, hamburgers and apple pies. The new menu, dubbed the Dollar Menu and More, will offer some higher priced options such as the grilled Onion Cheddar Burger and a McChicken sandwich. 18. McChicken

I know, I know, the McChicken is looked down upon with people claiming that’s not even made out of real chicken.

Yes, I’ve heard all of the complaints, however, I’m here to tell you that those gripes about the McChicken are not valid. Sure, McDonald’s has better chicken sandwiches on their menu, and yes, one of them made this list. But, for only a $1, the McChicken is a pretty tasty alternative if you’re looking for something other than a burger.

The chicken is, indeed, low-grade, and what would you expect from a dollar sandwich? Do you think McDonald’s is going to use their best chicken on a cheap sandwich?

No way, Jose.

The McChicken is a cheap sandwich that serves its purpose. The only issue I’ve ever had with the McChicken is the fact that they pack it with so much lettuce, like, as soon as you unwrap it, a mountain of lettuce falls out, and some of it is sticks together with the mayo, which makes it even worse.

But, it’s all worth it, and if you really want to “spice up” your McChicken, ask for Buffalo Sauce and dip it.

You will thank me later for that tip.
