15. Hotcakes and Sausage

If you want something a little more substantial in the morning other than a biscuit, you can’t go wrong with McDonald’s hotcakes and sausage.

Yes, it may seem a bit bland to say that simple hotcakes and sausage is a great staple on McDonald’s ever-evolving menu, but sometimes simplicity goes a long way, and these hotcakes and sausage go a really long way to filling you up in the morning.

The hotcakes (pancakes) aren’t actually pancakes, and they taste as they’ve come straight from the freezer and into the microwave. In fact, in all of my years venturing to numerous McDonald’s across this vast country we call America, not once have I witnessed an employee actually cooking the pancakes.

It doesn’t really matter, as however McDonald’s does them, it sure does taste good, especially with their hotcakes syrup, which elevates the simple hotcakes into a breakfast staple that you may not be able to live without.

Now I’ve done a lot of typing about the pancakes and haven’t given lip service to its companion, the sausage. All I have to say is McDonald’s sausage is one of the best in the industry. I don’t even care if its imitation, it’s still good. So, if you’re looking for something more filling than a biscuit, the hotcakes and sausage should be a go-to.
