MIAMI, FL – JUNE 19: A McDonald’s quarterpounder and a large order of french fries is seen June 19, 2003 in Miami, Florida. 13. Bacon Quarter Pounder

There isn’t a lot to like about the tariffs that have now become a stain on American life.

However, there was one side effect that caught many by surprise. It seems that we have a surplus of bacon in America, and fast food joints have been scrambling as to how to get rid of their surplus of bacon. McDonald’s has figured it out by “baconizing” their original classics, from the fries to the Big Mac.

I’ve tried their new bacon menu, and to be honest, as a bacon lover, it left me a little bit disappointed. However, there was one that passed the test, the Bacon Quarter Pounder.

In fact, I wonder why McDonald’s has waited so long to include bacon to its Quarter Pounder? These two clearly go together, and maybe this was the right time to finally bring bacon and the Quarter Pounder into holy matrimony.

There is no telling how long the Bacon Quarter Pounder will grace the menu board at McDonald’s, but I hope it stays there for a long time because we have always needed the Bacon Quarter Pounder in our lives.
