Pizza Hut announces arrival of the Hut Hat

When the majority of people think of Pizza Hut, they think of delivery and whatever promotion the pizza chain has going at that particular time. And that’s fine because that’s what Pizza Hut has become in this modern, always on the go age.

But if you are a bit older, you remember the Pizza Hut of yore. A place where you sat down to eat in a restaurant with the iconic slanted red roof and chain lamps hanging above the tables. Where you got your Pan Pizza in a red hot cast iron pizza dish while drinking Pepsi from red plastic cups.

Yep. Pizza Hut used to be lit. For the most part that’s all gone now, replaced by strip mall locations that do just delivery and pick-up. And America is a bit the worse for it in this humble pizza lovers opinion.

However,  they have not forgotten their past. And their latest wearable offering, done in conjunction with the creative culinary collective called Chain, is a nod to that fun history.

The new Pizza Hut Hut Hat is only available for a limited time online.

They are calling it the Hut Hat and it is a thing of beauty. It is a reversible bucket hat perfect for the spring and summer weather. It is entirely hand made by the folks at Chain so you can be assured it’s of the best quality.

One side evokes memories of the iconic red shingled roof that topped every Pizza Hut across the country and the other has a checkered design of red, white and black that resembles the Tiffany lamp shades that hung above the tables while you were eating.

I have to admit that it’s a really sharp hat that is sure to get impress anyone who remembers just how cool Pizza Hut was back in the day. It is currently only available online and will set you back $35.
