If there’s one Taco Bell fans are used to, it’s the company introducing things, taking them away, and then bringing them back eventually.

This has been the repeated cycle of the fast-food chain for years. Now, the company is taking things a step further by allowing fans to vote on which of their faves should be brought back.

The latest round of this “game” featured two unique items yet with similar fanbases which were the Beefy Crunch Burrito and the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. Both were obviously extremely beloved before being evicted from the Taco Bell menu.

Between the two though, the Beefy Crunch Burrito was victorious so I had no choice but to share just how great the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco is.

Where is all the love for the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco?

As I said, I’m not happy about the Beefy Crunch Burrito winning and it’s because the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco is just so good. While the nacho cheese variety is still at Taco Bell, no one ever seems to talk about the cool ranch variety yet it’s so delicious

If you haven’t had it, it’s obviously very similar to the nacho cheese variety but it has a zingy kick that you don’t get from its predecessor. Additionally, it doesn’t give you the orange fingers that you get from the nacho cheese one. Not that the nacho cheese ones aren’t delicious, but there’s something about the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco that hits differently.

To me, it’s all about that different flavor versus just having nacho cheese because you can get nacho cheese on anything from the menu essentially. I mean there’s a whole nacho meal you can get or even, a side of nacho cheese. Even though it’s a different flavor from Doritos, it’s still close enough which you don’t get from the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco.

Personally, I feel like this item was taken off the menu for a stupid reason as I’m sure it’s probably as easy, if not easier to assemble than the nacho cheese variety. Then again, I don’t work at Taco Bell so maybe I’m wrong. However, I do feel like the Beefy Crunch Burrito taking the crown is a little bit annoying.

I will give the Beefy Crunch Burrito kudos, though as it was the winner. If you didn’t know, this is a burrito featuring seasoned beef, rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, and Flamin Hot’ corn chips. I know that’s not for everyone but it will be hitting stores in August. It’ll either be a new item to try or an old favorite to revisit for others. Let’s just hope Taco Bell decides to bring back the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco eventually.
