When it comes to quick and easy Chinese food, Panda Express is one of our go-to options. They consistently deliver delicious offerings and flavors. Plus, they are great at staying cutting edge and innovative, with new menu items and limited edition options that we love.

And now, Panda Express is testing a new menu item that we are beyond excited about. According to a press email we received on behalf of the brand,

"Panda Express is testing a brand-new menu item offered exclusively at the Panda Express Innovation Kitchen (PXIK) in Pasadena, CA from April 21 to June 1, 2023: Spicy Wagyu Beef Dumplings, wok-tossed in an exclusive sauce made with Fly by Jing®"

Panda Express is doing a limited test on new Spicy Wagyu Beef Dumplings

There are a lot of reasons why this exciting news. Not only is this the first time that the brand will be offering Wagyu Beef as an entree item in any form, but there is also the fact that they are giving it to us as a dumpling which we love. (Honestly if we could only order one item on any menu, it would be dumplings.)

So what else do you need to know about these dumplings? This limited edition test features, “five 100% Wagyu beef dumplings, wok-tossed with kale and onions in a sweet and spicy sauce that has an extra kick from Fly By Jing®’s Zhong sauce, a concoction of aromatic “fuzhi” soy sauce, slow-brewed with brown sugar, mushrooms, garlic and a blend of spices influenced by the popular classic Chengdu street snack, Zhong Dumpling.”

We are a little jealous of the fact that we won’t be able to get our hands on these dumplings just yet, but hopefully the test is a success and Panda Express decides to expand these Spicy Wagyu Beef Dumplings to more restaurants.

What do you think of this new menu item? Would you want to give these a try? Will you try to get to the test kitchen, if you are in California, while these are available?
