Claim to fame: Krystal burgers 

The Reason:

The answer to White Castle, there is one notable difference in Krystal’s burgers and their main rival — they add mustard to their mini-burgers.

While the White Castle snob may look down on that, it actually gives the burgers a flavorful taste, and one can eat a sackful of these little Krystals in one sitting. I am not here to say that Krystal is better than White Castle. I’ve had both and each has its own charm, but here in the South, Krystal is king, and it can step toe-to-toe with any fast-food outlet.

You can get the Krystals in a variety of ways, either with cheese or bacon, or both! The message here is that Krystal is a great fast-food institution, and it deserves its spot in the Top 10.

Side note: Get those Krystals with chili cheese fries.

Best menu item: Krystal Burger

It is the signature menu item and one that still has the same great taste and same great flavor as it has had for decades.

Worst menu item: Sausage Gravy Biscuit Plate

Yes, Krystal serves breakfast, and most of their menu is good. But this item? I have clearly had better, and it’s in your best interest to avoid this and go for the three-egg plate breakfast.
