19. Kentucky Fried Chicken

Claim to fame: Chicken, of course! 

The Reason:

Everyone on planet Earth has eaten at a KFC.

Some have become fans, others have stayed far away from this place.

The truth of the matter is, while there have been other chicken chains that have risen to take on the mighty Colonel Sanders, KFC continues to go about its way and attract new business. Believe it or not, just over a decade ago, KFC was sliding in popularity; but now, the chain has come back to life, thanks to their $5 Fill-Up meals and the Nashville Hot-Chicken, which, surprisingly, has a good taste to them.

Granted, it’s KFC, and not everything on their menu is a slam dunk. However, the chain has seemed to find its footing again, and that is sweet music to the ears of its fans. If I have one request for KFC, is that they bring back their “10 Piece for $10” meal, a promotion they ran during the Great Recession and has since not revived.

I guess the Fill-Up menus will have to do.

Best menu item: Nashville Hot Chicken

When they first came out with this in 2016, I was a little worried. After I tried, it, they had me. Yes, the original hot chicken in Nashville will never be topped, but for those who don’t live in Music City, KFC does right by it.

Worst menu item: Green Beans

Thankfully, this is a side, which means you don’t have to order it. These green beans lack flavor, and not even salt can save these poor souls.
