Next Level Chef renewed for two more seasons
By D. Goodman
On Thursday foodies everywhere watched as the second season of Next Level Chef came to an end. We watched as Tucker Ricchio took home the title of Next Level Chef, giving bragging rights to Chef Gordon Ramsay and more importantly the $250,000 prize.
Once again the show was a ratings smash for the Fox Network, proving that the Gordon Ramsay brand is as strong as ever. The Season 2 premiere, which aired after the Super Bowl, drew in 16.9 million viewers.
In fact, Fox is so happy with the series (and Ramsay) that they have revealed that not only will Next Level Chef be back for a third season, but they went ahead and renewed it for Season 4 at the same time.
Next Level Chef Season 3 will likely premiere sometime in February, 2024.
The third season will see Ramsay return as well as his fellow judges Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais. As for if all three will also be back for Season 4, it’s probably a bit too early to assume anything but you would think it would be a given.
The next two seasons will also be filming in a new location. While Season 1 was filmed in Las Vegas and Season 2 in the United Kingdom, both the third and fourth seasons will be filmed in Ireland. It sounds like they may be filming the two seasons back-to-back, but at this point we don’t know.
According to Allison Wallach, President of Unscripted Programing at Fox, the decision to renew Next Level Chef for two seasons was a no brainer.
"“Serving up two more orders of Next Level Chef was an easy decision on the heels of an incredible sophomore season, propelled by its historic post-Super Bowl debut. Gordon has orchestrated a series that brilliantly demands skill and creativity in a tri-level pressure cooker, delivering high stakes, high drama and some of the most innovative cooking I’ve ever seen.”"
