Americans love to snack!  Take a walk down the snack aisle of any grocery store and the options are endless. Whether you are traveling and looking for snacks for on-the-go or need some snacks at work to get you through the day, the number of choices can be daunting. If you are looking for a snack to help fill you up, high-protein  snacks might just be the way to go.

Today, Whisps released its third-party commissioned snack survey findings. The study found that 79% of adults are trying to eat healthier snacks and 70% also prefer protein-rich snacks. While hard-boiled eggs and cottage cheese may be high in protein, they aren’t the most convenient to travel with.

If you want snacks that you can pack on a road trip or stick in your bag for a little midday pick-me-up, we’ve got you covered. Here are some high protein snacks that taste good and will help fight off hunger.

Whisps – Whisps are known for their Cheese Crisps. These small snack rounds are made from 100% real cheese. Depending on the flavor, each 2.12 ounce bag contains between 9 and 13 grams of protein per serving. The original Cheese Crisps come in savory flavors like Garlic Herb, Tangy Ranch, Nacho and Asiago & Pepper Jack. These gluten free, keto-friendly snacks have a nice salty crunch. They are great for snacking on their own or make a great addition to a charcuterie board.

Last spring Whisps added Cheese & Pretzel Bites to their product line. While these snacks have less protein than the original Cheese Crisps, (6-8 grams of protein per serving) they are an addictingly, crunchy snack. They combine the classic flavors of pretzels and cheese, using real cheese.
