We here at Guilty Eats long ago decided that when it comes to fast food burgers, the Whopper at Burger King is pretty much the king of the hill. It’s an icon for good reason and there are few burgers in the world that are its equal.
However, the Whopper is a big sandwich. So big that for some people it’s just too much. Lucky for them Burger King put a Whopper in the dryer and shrank it, giving us the Whopper Jr.. Everything you love but just on a smaller scale.
Over the years the Whopper Jr. has become a very popular menu item. So much so that Burger King has announced a brand new value menu option focused just on the sandwich. They are calling it the $5 Whopper Jr. Duo Deal and it’s a steal if you ask us.
The Burger King $5 Whopper Jr. Duo Deal will only be available for a limited time.
So how does it work? Simple. You choose two Whopper Jr. sandwiches and you get them for five bucks. That’s two burgers for five one dollar bills. Twenty quarters. Any way you slice it that’s a great bargain.
To celebrate, Burger King is bringing back the BBQ Bacon Whopper Jr. as part of the promotion. If you need a reminder, it includes a flame-grilled patty topped with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, pickles ,onions and BBQ sauce all on a sesame seed bun.
In all there are six different versions of the Whopper Jr. to choose from. They include:
- Whopper Jr.
- Whopper Jr. with Cheese
- Whopper Jr. with Bacon and Cheese
- Bacon and Swiss Whopper Jr.
- BBQ Bacon Whopper Jr.
- BBQ Bacon and Cheese Whopper Jr.
And since Burger King prides itself on letting you have it your way, once you add in all the different combinations the possibilities are nearly endless.
The $5 Whopper Jr. Duo Deal is available now at Burger King locations nationwide for a limited time.
