Starbucks is at it yet again with adding some more changes to their menu. Although this time, it’s not a brand new drink or food item; it’s something that goes into your drinks.

That’s right, just in case you haven’t heard quite yet, Starbucks is getting ready to change up their ice game.

Do you like Starbucks‘ ice? Are you ready for a change? Here’s some more info on just that!

How will Starbucks be changing their ice? Let’s learn more about all of that!

Let’s get all of this excitement and anticipation of waiting out of the way. Starbucks is moving on from their traditional flat-cubed ice and moving onto literally everyone’s favorite…ice nuggets! Yes, you read that correctly! Starbucks’ iced drinks will now be served with ice nuggets, much to the likings of Sonic and Chick-Fil-A, which let me tell you, is definitely something worth waiting for.

Here’s what the fan-favorite coffee chain said about all of this breaking news:

"“As we continue to innovate and make investments in the Starbucks Experience for our partners (baristas) and customers, we are introducing new machines that make nugget ice to select stores this year.”"

Rumors of this happening first spread on a site none other than Reddit where a barista actually posted anonymously that their store had some new ice machines, along with pictures, and that they were only one of three (at that point thus far) that were testing said brand new ice machines.

As with anything and everything nowadays, there are of course some super mixed reviews out there about the brand new ice. Some are absolutely thrilled (and me personally, I’m going to see if I can just order a cup of ice) while others are worried that because this ice is so light and ‘fluffy’ (as ‘fluffy’ as ice can be that is), that they will melt all too quickly and make the drinks watery more quickly.

Starbucks has since rebutted that claim saying that their new nuggets have been tested multiple times to make sure that, scientifically, it doesn’t melt any faster than their current ice cubes. In addition to them trying to make the world a more sufficient place, the coffee chain says that their brand new ice machines require less water, which ultimately ends up being more sustainable in the long run.

More. Starbucks has teamed up with the Empire State Building for a really cool experience. light

That’s a wrap on the breaking news of Starbucks changing their cubes to nuggets! What are your thoughts on this and are you more excited or upset about this brand new change coming?
