Chick-fil-A is testing a new Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich
By D. Goodman
It sometimes feels like for the last few years everyone in the fast food world has been chasing Chick-fil-A and their now iconic chicken sandwich, to varying degrees of success.
Burger King spent years developing and marketing the Ch’King, only to pull the plug on the sandwich less than a year later. Popeyes has come the closest with the introduction of their version, with sellouts across the country in the first weeks after it was introduced.
But much like Taco Bell fans, Chick-fil-A devotees are diehards and will never be convinced anything other than the original is worth their time.
Which is why from time to time Chick-fil-A will put a new spin on their iconic chicken sandwich to keep the idea fresh, and fans excited. Which is what they have once again done. Say hello to the Maple Pepper Bacon Chicken Sandwich.
The Maple Pepper Bacon Chicken Sandwich is only available at Chick-fil-A in two locations
The new Maple Pepper Bacon Chicken Sandwich will be available beginning June 12 in just two cities, Indianapolis, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky for a limited time.
So why exactly should you get excited about the Maple Pepper Bacon Chicken Sandwich? Good question. The new sandwich includes a grilled lemon-herb marinated boneless chicken breast that has been topped with Pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, pickle chips and bacon that’s been coated in a brown sugar and black pepper blend. Put all that on a maple-flavored brioche bun and there you go.
So what are the odds you could see one at your locall Chick-fil-A? As usual, that depends on how the test goes. But as with anything that includes bacon, we would guess that it will end up on the menu at some point down the road. Or at the very least it will be a seasonal item.
However, if you want to take a road trip and try one right now, be our guest. We don’t know how long the test will be going on for so the sooner you go, the better.
