Superstar chef Alex Guarnaschelli has long been a force to be reckoned with in the world of competitive cooking. She has a fierce determination to win and a reputation for a take no prisoners approach to cooking, which can be seen in every episode of Alex vs. America.

The series sees Guarnaschelli go up against the best of the best in a particular school of cooking. In the just finished Season 3, she took on the states of California and Hawaii, pastry, chicken, James Beard winners and, in an epic contest, bacon.

The series has been a solid hit for Food Network and has helped Guarnaschelli regain some of her mojo with her fans. After her early exit from the first season of Tournament of Champions some, myself included, thought that maybe she was yesterday’s pasta.

Looks like I couldn’t have been more wrong. And I, for one, am thrilled.

The fourth season of Alex vs. America begins shooting in a couple of months.

And apparently I’m not the only one who’s thrilled with Alex vs. America. Because host Eric Adjepong has just revealed on Twitter that the hit series will be back for a fourth season.

While there is no premiere date for Season 4, you would have to think it will arrive on Food Network sometime early next year, very likely right after the holidays.

As for who she will be facing for Season 4, that’s literally an empty plate of options. Being from Philadelphia I would love to see her versus cheesesteaks, which could be a ton of fun to watch. Or maybe verses lobster rolls. Or maybe have Alex verses fast food.

The possibilities are literally endless.
