Monsters Cereals is adding a new character and flavor

For many kids (and more adults than anyone would likely admit) Monsters Cereals has been a cherished part of the Halloween holiday. Arriving with the first hint of fall and only available until after all the trick or treaters have gone home, they are a tradition like no other.

First introduced by General Mills in 1971, the core cereals have always been Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry. The trio have become icons in the world of cereal, with the same kind of recognition as Tony the Tiger and the Cap’n Crunch.

Now, for the first time in decades, a new character will be making her debut later this year. And yes, I said her debut. In an unprecedented move, the Monster Cereals will be introducing a female character. Get ready to get jiggy with Carmella Creeper.

The full line-up pf Monsters Cereals will only be available for a limited time.

Carmella Creeper is the long lost cousin of Franken Berry and is a zombie DJ who like to bring the beats with her wherever she goes. As for the cereal itself, Carmella Creeper includes caramel apple flavored pieces mixed with colored Monster marshmallows.

To celebrate the arrival of Carmella, Monsters Cereals has also announced that they are releasing the brand new Monster Mash Remix Cereal. It includes a mixture of all six flavors, which include Carmella Creeper, Frute Brute, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Franken Berry and Yummy Mummy.

All five of this year’s cereals will begin showing up in stores by the end of the summer, just in time for fall and the Halloween haunting season. They will retail for $3.99 for a regular box and $4.93 for a family size.

And just like every other year, once Halloween is over, the cereals will disappear for another year. So stock up while you can.
