MasterChef is rounding out their top 20 with chefs from the south
Tiffany Derry is in the MasterChef kitchen for the final night of the regional heats. And for this final round, it is all about the south and southern cooking. With Derry acting as the fourth judge in episode 4, we expect another round of hard judging.
With only a few aprons left, the south has to really bring the heat if they want to be on MasterChef season 13 representing their region. And right away, our first cook from New Orleans gets an apron after getting a sweeping four yeses for her jerk shrimp dish. It’s a strong start for the region and one we hope carries us through the rest of the episode.
Sadly for our second chef, her corn was undercooked and her steak was overcooked, which meant she walked away without an apron. For our third chef, he has to deal with Gordon Ramsay dropping his winning BBQ ring into the cooking flames and even into his sauce pan. So will that throw him off his game? Absolutely not!
MasterChef has their top 20 for Season 13’s United Tastes of America
Honestly, it just seems like many of these southern chefs have what it takes to not only snag these remaining aprons, but to also win the whole show. Since they even bring one chef’s grandfather in to ask him about his dish, and then hand him his apron, you know that these are some incredible cooks.
After handing out the final aprons of the regional round, Tiffany Derry proclaimed that she believed that the person who wins this season of MasterChef will come from the south. But there are some amazing chefs this time around, and we can’t wait to see what happens when the top 20 officially kicks off the season in the MasterChef kitchen.
We don’t know which region will come out on top, but it should be interesting to see how the competition shakes out.
