It would seem that when it comes to Food Network, Guy Fieri might have some competition from Alex Guarnaschelli to be the face of the network. First comes news that Alex vs. America has been renewed for a fourth season and now comes word on the fate of Ciao House.

Ciao House saw 10 up and coming culinary stars dropped into the birthplace of Italian food and have them compete against each other as individuals and teams, all while living together in a Italian villa. Think Hell’s Kitchen but with a lot less cursing.

The series is hosted by Guarnaschelli and Gabriele Bertaccini and just wrapped up its first season. It was a solid ratings hit for Food Network so they have wasted no time sending out invitations to the villa for a return visit.

The second season of Ciao House will go into production later this year.

It has been reported by Variety that Food Network has renewed the series for a second season. Both Guarnaschelli and Bertaccini will be back as well as the Italian villa and 10 brand new chefs looking for the chance of a lifetime to train with some of the best Italian chefs in all of Italy.

According to Betsy Ayala, Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of food content, they knew they had something special in Ciao House even before it began airing.

"“A fierce culinary competition in beautiful Tuscany is a dream project and we are thrilled our audience loves ‘Ciao House. We knew early on this series was incredibly unique and offered viewers something they’ve never seen from Food Network before – we can’t wait to start working on season two.”"

There is no word yet when Season 2 of Ciao House will premiere, but word is that production will begin later this year. So you can likely expect the second season sometime in the spring of 2024.
