Burger King has long tried to stand apart from the other fast food giants out there, in particular McDonald’s. And while they have the whole “flame-grilled” thing going for them, for many fans it comes down to a couple of simple words.

Onion Rings.

Of all the major fast food chains you can go to, Burger King is the only who who offers onion rings on their menu every day. They have been available almost since they first arrived on the scene and while there has been plenty of debate about them, there is no argument that they are immensely popular.

However, there are those folks who prefer a large fries with their Whopper but also love onion rings. And while they add an order to their Value Meal, maybe they can’t afford it or are trying to count calories or don’t want to for any number of reasons.

Well, Burger King is trying a solution to your problem.

Burger King Fries n’ Rings will only be available until the end of July.

Word is that Burger King is testing a new side order they are calling Fries n’ Rings. And if the name wasn’t explanation enough we’ll go ahead and spell it out for you. Fries n’ Rings combines french fires with their iconic onion rings.

Really have to wonder why Burger King didn’t think of this sooner.

The new Fries n’ Rings are being tested in the Miami and Fort Laurderdale areas from June 19 until July 20. So if you live in either of those areas you are in luck and the envy of fast food lovers everywhere.

Will Fries n’ Rings eventually go national? If I had to guess I’d say it’s pretty much a lock. This is one of those no-brainer concepts that is just too good to not work. As for when that could happen, we don’t have a clue but if the test goes well it could be a lot sooner then anyone expects.
