Is pizza a summer food?
There is never a bad time for pizza. And it doesn’t matter if it is summer, winter, or either of the other seasons, this is one meal we can all agree on.
However, when we think of pizza, do we actually think of it as a summer food? Does the melty cheese over tomato sauce with toppings (of your choice of course) on a doughy crust scream summer?
According to a press email we received on behalf of Marco’s Pizza, it seems as if a lot of Americans associate this iconic meal with the summer months. In a study conducted by the company, they learned that “99% of Americans consider pizza a summer food, and 61% feel that we should be indulging in this cheesy delight even more during the summer months.”
Marco’s reveals that Americans associate pizza with summer
Not only did Marco’s figure out that pizza is the ultimate food of summer, but “more than half (51%) of Americans would celebrate a 4th of July BBQ outing with pizza.”
So what is Marco’s doing to celebrate these findings? They are offering a special deal on their pizzas of course! And we are not mad at a chance to save some money.
First up, we have the summer steal that fans of Marco’s will want to check out first:
"To honor people’s unwavering love of pizza this summer, Marco’s is offering a special discount on their Magnifico lineup – including the fan-favorite Pepperoni Magnifico ($9.99), Sausage Magnifico ($10.99) and Ultimate Magnifico ($12.99) – when using code ‘NEWMAG’**."
And that’s not all, as they are also celebrating people who would rather skip the burgers on July 4 in favor of pizzas. For that fourth of July deal, Marco’s is offering 30% off their “menu-priced pizza” with the code STAR23 from June 29 to July 2. (While it may be not be available actually on July 4, that doesn’t mean you can’t have an early holiday gathering.)
These deals are available for people ordering online or through their app, and are both a great way to save some money on what looks to be the ultimate summer food.
