The reveal of the new Blizzard of the Month has become something of a much anticipated announcement for Dairy Queen fans. Sometimes the ice cream chain offers something new and sometimes they bring back a classic favorite.

Regardless, during the summer months the reveal hits just a bit harder, especially during July and August. Most of the country is dealing with scorching hot temperatures and few things help to beat the heat like a Blizzard.

So for July, Dairy Queen has announced that the Blizzard of the Month is something brand new, something you have never seen before. And it combines two flavors that the child in all of us will love and should bring back fond memories.

Say hello to the Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard.

The Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard will only be at Dairy Queen for July.

The Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard includes classic Dairy Queen soft serve vanilla ice cream mixed with cake batter flavor. Then they add confetti cookie dough pieces and DQ signature sprinkles. And nothing about that sentence sounds bad at all.

I mean, everyone remembers getting to lick the spoon when your parents made a cake, right? And cookie dough has long been considered a staple of ice cream flavors, So it makes complete sense to finally combine the two.

According to reports, Dairy Queen has been developing the cake batter flavor for years, working to make sure it was perfect before they went ahead and combined it with their iconic soft serve ice cream.

Of course, as the name implies, the Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard will only be available at Dairy Queen for the month of July. So get one while you can and take a break from the summer heat.
