What are the top 10 most popular chocolate bars in the U.S.?
Have you ever wondered what the most popular chocolate bars in the country are? Are you a fan of all the chocolates, but have a favorite of your own. Well in honor of World Chocolate Day on July 7, Menu Price analyzed Google to figure out what the most popular bars of chocolate were in every state and then ranked them based on how many states they were number one in.
Thanks to Menu Price, we know which states love Hershey’s and which states are all about those Snickers bars. Basically, if you were ever wondering about the most popular candy bars on the market, we have you covered with all the details.
So what exactly are the top 10 candy bars in the U.S.?
Top 10 chocolate bars across the country
- 1) Milk Way (The Milky Way is number one thanks to being the most popular chocolate bar in eight states.)
- 2) Hershey’s (It’s actually more surprising that this classic bar isn’t number one.)
- 2) Twix (Tied in second place with seven states loving this bar as well.)
- 4) Kit Kat (Five states love this classic bar.)
- 5) Snickers
- 6) Reese’s
- 7) Skittles (Not a chocolate bar, but since it knocked our favorite bar out of the top 10 thanks to being the most popular candy in three states, it deserved its place on the list.)
- 8) Bounty (Although this is more of an international candy bar, it is popular in both Louisiana and Oregon.)
- 9) Butter Finger
- 10) 3 Musketeers
And since Skittles made the top 10 list, knocking out a chocolate bar, we have to point out that in 11th place was Almond Joy, which is number one for New York and New Jersey.
Honestly, the top 10 candies in the country are not that surprising, with the exception of Bounty. However, it was definitely a bit of a shock to see Milky Way in the top spot overall.
But we want to know what you think of the top 10 most popular chocolate bars? Are there any surprises for you on this list?
